¨Ebony is a rare and valuable wood which comes from a tree that can take over one hundred years to mature. It is prized for its intense dark color, it is the darkest natural wood available. It has a tight grain and can be polished to marble-like smoothness. It is so dense it actually sinks in water. Its rarity and color make for a prized possession intended to last a lifetime.
